The newspaper plans on replacing its paper at some point with the new tablet version, The Globe and Mail reports.
The cost of creating this template is $40 million.
It has added more than 100 journalists to its staff. That’s quite unbelievable to me when everyone else is cutting staff.
Can this work? Would you get a tablet to read your news? Or do you have one already?
La Presse content will be free and management hopes advertising will cover all expenses.
So far, newspapers haven’t been able to make money of their Internet sites so we’ll wait and see La Presse’s fate.
La Presse is unveiling its tablet today. I’m interesting in learning more.
Could this be the saviour all news people have been waiting for?
Let’s hope so.
