Canadian travelers are being warned to expect major disruptions Tuesday and possibly into Wednesday as airports in the U.S. Northeast shut down their operations in the face of Sandy.
Air Canada said it expected most airports in the U.S. northeast to remain closed Tuesday due to the storm, resulting in the cancellation of its flights to the New York area airports, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, Baltimore, Harrisburg, Providence, and Hartford.
Southern Ontario, Quebec and parts of the Maritimes are being lashed by superstorm Sandy this morning as the massive weather system churns its way north.
