In a church bulletin this past weekend was a letter from the Archbishop of Toronto, Rev. Thomas Collins.
It appears a Polish priest who is already under suspension by a Cardinal in Poland, has followers in Toronto.
It’s unclear exactly what Rev. Piotr Natanek is up to now but in the past he has spread opinions not approved by the Church regarding the “regality of Jesus Christ, based on private revelations and inspired by the eschatological seven, which is outside of the teachings of Church doctrine; he has also publicly put into doubt the authority of priests and, not least, invalidly celebrated a marriage, without the required mandate,” according to The Vatican Insider.
Rev. Collins writes that he supports the decision to suspend Natanek.
“Any ministry associated with Rev. Natanek in the Archdiocese of Toronto is unlawful and any public presentation of his teachings in the media or elsewhere must be avoided.”
He further called Natanek’s actions a “scandal.”
The Vatican Insider further repoter that according to Natanek, the late Monsignor Józef Życiński – Archbishop of Lublin, “is in hell, bound by the heaviest chain to Mohammed.”
He also told his followers in Poland that the Curia of Krakow provoked disasters of torrential rains.
I’m hoping to find out why the Archibishop of Toronto is warning Catholics about him here in Canada.
