Census out and we’re growing but maybe not fast enough

Canada’s population has climbed to 33.5 million.

There is growth in all areas but some slower than others.

Ontario’s growth has slowed and the K-W region has now climbed ahead of London for the 10th spot on big cities in the country.

Unless we get more immigration in the next 20 years, Canada’s population will start to decline with all of the baby boomers checking out.

Lots of jobs will be available then, no doubt.

Any of the census data interesting to you?

  1. I’m of the mind: London and many other SW ONT municiplities are sprawling and ecologically mismanaged; farmland is disppearing; nature is destroyed for so-called “natural resources”; profits for developers…Sooo ironic that government dollars and credits are available for births and new immigrants but not for more MRI machines, CT scanners, angiograms, medical proceedures to sustain health and provide life resources for the living.
